We Are
Modern Agro Corporation, or MACO, is a leading Liberian agribusiness specialized in the cultivation, value addition and commercialization of various Liberia-origin agricultural commodities such as cashew nuts, cassava, chili and other vegetable products.
Our
Activities
MACO’s activities are primarily geared toward impacting the lives of smallholder farmers in Liberia by integrating Liberian smallholder farmers into the global food supply chain.
More than 3.5 million people in Liberia depend on agriculture as their primary form of livelihood. These smallholder farmers make up nearly 2/3 of the country’s population and live below the poverty line. MACO has been working to combat poverty among these families by providing them with tools, training, and other forms of assistance.
